Breaking News: Bills Star Josh Allen Fails Drug Test Suffers Career Ban…

The Buffalo Bills will look to get back in the win column in a marquee AFC matchup against the Houston Texans on Sunday.

The Bills are coming off a disappointing performance in Week 4, when they suffered their first loss of the season to the Baltimore Ravens. In the loss, receiver Khalil Shakir, who has been quarterback Josh Allen’s top weapon so far this season, suffered an ankle injury.

Although Shakir came back and played through the rest of the game, where he led all Bills receivers with 62 yards, he has yet to practice this week. At the start of the week, coach Sean McDermott was cautious with Shakir’s status.

“Khalil fought through it; it’s one of those situations, we’ll see how he does this week taking it one day at a time,” said McDermott.

With just one practice remaining in the week, Shakir’s status is in-jeopardy for Sunday.

Although Shakir has been Buffalo’s leading receiver so far, the team has continuously preached an “everybody eats” mentality on offense. Allen has taken that mentality seriously, as he has found six different receivers for touchdowns so far this season. He may need to continue that trend without Shakir.

No

t only could the Bills be without their top receiver on Sunday, but they will also have their former top receiver lining up against them. Buffalo will be facing All-Pro receiver Stefon Diggs for the first time since they traded him to Houston in the offseason.
