EARLY LIFE

SAMANTHA IRVIN Born in 1989, the eldest of six siblings, her mother was a professional flutist, and Samantha learned to sing and play the flute when she was four. When she was nine, she sang in her third-grade talent show. In 2015, she sang “You Make Me Feel Like” in her audition for America’s Got Talent, and went up to the semi-finals. In September 2020, she was featured in “I Can See Your Voice.”

Being Sought After by WWE
Beyond her musical career, Samantha was an avid follower of Shawn Michael, having adored WWE from the age of 7. Wrestler Mark Henry identified her after she followed WWE and numerous other wrestlers on Twitter. He sent her a message. She considered the physical portion of the WWE tryout to be nearly as painful as giving birth. However, she overcame it and was allowed to use her imagination when making her ring announcements. Because she loved music and wrestling, she turned every wrestler’s promo into a special song.

WWE Career
She worked as the NXT ring announcer in 2021, and her announcements were incredibly deep and creative. She conducted research, made adjustments, and made an effort to match each wrestler’s attitude and theme tune with their announcements. She also solicited input from them about what they liked and didn’t like before trying again. Her efforts were fruitful. In 2022 and 2023, she worked as a ring announcer for SmackDown and Raw, respectively. Her selection as WrestleMania 39’s official ring announcer was also one of her proudest memories. Making history by participating in the first-ever women’s bout at WrestleMania, which took place on April 1, 2023, and was introduced and refereed by a woman.

Samantha Irvin connected with Ricochet, a WWE wrestler, on Twitter. As per her customary care, she monitored the wrestler’s social media accounts to stay updated about goings-on in their realm. And Ricochet followed her back on Twitter. He continued to search for her and added her as a follower on Instagram. They got along well, and their polite texts evolved into lengthy phone conversations. After meeting, they went on their first date to the Grand Canyon. The pair made their love publicly known in 2021. Their engagement was announced in January 2023.
