The Green Bay Packers have suspended wide receiver Romeo Doubs for conduct detrimental to the team ahead of their game against the Rams.
The Green Bay Packers have announced the suspension of wide receiver Romeo Doubs for Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams due to conduct deemed detrimental to the team. Further details on the situation have not been disclosed.
Romeo Doubs had missed practice on Thursday and Friday due to a personal matter. Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst stated that Doubs’ recent decisions and actions negatively impacted the team, prompting the suspension. He expressed disappointment but also confidence in moving forward positively, emphasizing Doubs’ value to the team and their hope to reintegrate him next week.
Romeo Doubs has recorded 12 catches for 169 yards this season, following a strong 2022 where he had 59 receptions for 674 yards and eight touchdowns. He ended last season with impressive playoff performances, totaling 10 catches for 234 yards and one touchdown. A fourth-round pick from Nevada in the 2022 draft, Doubs has spent his entire three-year career with the Packers.
On Saturday, the Packers made several roster moves, including signing cornerback Robert Rochell from the practice squad to the active roster. They also elevated fullback Andrew Beck for Sunday’s game against the Rams. Rochell has previously played in 39 regular-season games with the Rams (2021-22) and the Packers (2023-24).
